EXAMINATION AND PROMOTION:

1) The progress of a student is determined by means of regular Tests and terminal examinations. A regular record (Progress Card) showing the results of these tests and examinations, together with a statement regarding the conduct and progress of each student, will be given to the parents at the end of each examination. Reasons for absence from an examination or test should be intimated to the principal through the class teacher without delay. It should be certified by the parents. In case of illness, a medical certificate should be produced when required by the principal.
2) Promotion depends on the student’s performance in the Tests and the Half yearly and Annual Examinations and on the assessment of other works and activities allotted to him/her throughout the year. At the final weightage score, every student is required to obtain 40% of marks in all subjects individually.
3) A minimum attendance of 75% is required for promotion.
4) Results declared at the end of the year are final in all cases and will not be reconsidered. The result published cannot be challenged in any court of law.
5) In all matters connected with the admission/examination/promotion of students, the decision of the management is final and binding.
6) Students who resort to malpractice (even if detected later) will be debarred from the rest of the examinations. This may even lead to the dismissal of the student from the school.
Use of Unfair Means in the Examination or Unit Test:

The school views the use of unfair means during examinations or unit tests very seriously. Unfair means can be any of the following:
a) A student has in his possession, while in the examination room, any book, memorandum, pocketbook, notes, or paper whatever, except the correct question paper.
b) Copying from the other students or giving an opportunity to other students to copy from one’s own answer paper, exchanging the question papers, writing the answers on the question paper, or communicating dishonestly with other students in the examination room.
c) Giving or obtaining, or attempting to give or obtain, unfair assistance from other students.
A student detected using unfair means would be barred from writing the examinations and will be given a ‘0’ on all papers.
7) Students absenting themselves from any examination or test will not be re-examined.
8) Student who fails twice in the same class will not be allowed to continue in the school.
9) Students will not be allowed to take the annual examination unless all the dues are cleared for the year.
10) A student failing in one’s class does not remain on the roll unless the parent/guardian informs in writing to the principal before the reopening that the student wishes to continue in the school.
11) Cases of failures will not be reconsidered, and final exam papers will not be shown to any parent.
